Sawing Away at Design
Though known in his area for being a master wood crafter and mantel designer, Dan had never had a brand or a logo associated with his work. He’d always just been known as “Dan the Mantel Guy,” but he was looking for an upgrade to both his name and his brand. After learning about his true dedication for wood work using both modern and classic tools, we got to work designing something that felt a bit like an old-world door sign for a skilled wood worker. Using typefaces with dimension and a mechanical feel, along with a simple saw graphic, we crafted a logo that embodied all of Dan’s professional traits. And to top it off, what’s better than a wood workers business cards printed on actual wood veneers? We can’t think of anything.
