Mama on a Mission

A young Latina mother explained to us that she wanted to create a culture of support and empowerment among other mothers and their children. She had also been connecting with local churches to raise funds for struggling women in her neighborhood. She had been dubbed as the “loca madre” because she was so passionate about her cause, and now she needed our help to make her brand come alive. Using a combination of typefaces, we chose two that embodied both power and feminism. The black and white color scheme remained as a way to incorporate everyone and not focus on color. The graphic logo we developed together is making her voice more visually “heard” within her community, and has been translated to apparel and website.
